Serhii Belik is a contemporary artist from Odesa whose practice unfolds at the intersection of painting, object-based art, and conceptual gesture. His works often engage with themes of memory, personal experience, and the inner tension between the corporeal and the symbolic, combining expressive form with a careful attention to materiality.
Bielik’s work reflects the influence of the Odesa art scene—ironic, multilayered, and acutely responsive to the absurdities and traumatic experiences of the present. Rather than offering definitive answers, his art creates a space for empathy and critical reflection on reality.
Education.
Serhii Belik received his artistic education in Odesa, where he developed a solid academic foundation while simultaneously becoming part of the city’s independent art scene. His training combined classical disciplines with the search for a personal visual language, which later shaped his interest in experimentation, materiality, and conceptual thinking.
Exhibitions.
Belik’s works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad. His participation in exhibition projects spans gallery spaces and institutional platforms, through which he consistently articulates his artistic position, responding to the social and cultural contexts of contemporary life.
