Oleksiy Kuzmich is a Belarusian action artist known for his provocative performances that criticize social inequality, corruption, and the distortion of concepts in society. His art has repeatedly served as a tool for exposing political repression and manipulation, as well as drawing attention to issues of injustice and the devaluation of human dignity. Kuzmich uses actionism as a form of protest, where each act becomes a challenge to the government and society, seen as an interaction with the institutions he critiques.
His works are often provocative, with performances such as "Creator Without Balls" or "Homeland-BDSM" openly criticizing political systems and societal structures that restrict freedom. Kuzmich is not afraid to face harsh reactions from the state and security forces, transforming these responses into part of his artistic expression. He believes that actionism brings conflicts and painful topics to the surface, becoming a catalyst for social change.
