Oleksandr Smyrnov
Born in 1976 in Kyiv.
Education: Taras Shevchenko State Art Secondary School; National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Faculty of Sculpture, under Professor V. A. Chepelyk. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
Sculptor with many years of professional experience, working in both monumental and small-scale sculpture. Participant in Ukrainian and international sculpture symposia and biennials. Works with wood, stone, and metal. Also active in the design of decorative and sculptural elements for advertising and film. Creates garden and park sculpture as well as stone architectural ornamentation.
Participant in more than 20 Ukrainian and international exhibitions. Recipient of the Second Prize at the Levkas Biennale 2021. Works are held in museum collections in Ukraine and in private collections in Ukraine, Germany, and the Netherlands.
